The Avoyelles Parish School Board is now accepting applications for the following positions:
Deaf or Hard of Hearing K-12
Qualifications: Individual must hold a valid early childhood certificate, elementary or middle school certificate, special education certificate, or an all-level K-12 certificate and achieved the following: 21 semester credit hours that pertain to children with hearing impairments. Three semester hours of internship of students with hearing impairments; or three years of successful teaching experience of students with hearing impairments, Proficiency in signed, cued, or oral communication, Passing score for Praxis exams - Special Education: Core Content Knowledge and Applications or Special Education: Education of Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Must be 21 years or older.

Deadline for submitting applications on the above position will be on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.
Interviews for the above position will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 8:00 a.m.
School Psychologist
Qualifications:
Certification by the State Department of Education in School Psychology. Applicants must meet requirements for the standard certificate and possess a master's or specialist degree from a school psychology training program in a regionally accredited institution. At least one year of experience, or equivalent, as a school psychologist.
Applications may be obtained at the Avoyelles Parish School Board Office, 221 Tunica Drive West, Marksville LA, beginning Friday, April 22, 2022 - Friday, may 6, 2022.
Deadline for submitting applications on the above position will be on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.
