The four options in which APSB is seeking input include:
Four Day Calendar – This is the calendar most similar to recent year’s calendars. School would start for students on August 4th and end on May 26th. This draft contains a total of 147 student school days and 66,885 instructional minutes.
Four Day Balanced Calendar – On a balanced calendar students and staff have a break after each nine weeks period. With this calendar students would start school on July 28th and school ends on May 26th. There is a total of 146 student school days and 66,430 instructional minutes.
Five Day Traditional Calendar – This calendar is a Five Day a week calendar. Students would report on August 9th and the school year would end on May 26th. There is a total of 177 school days and 65,940 instructional minutes.
September Start Calendar - This is a Five Day a week calendar. Students would report to school on September 6th and the school year would end on May 26th. This calendar contains a total of 160 student school days and 67,200 instructional minutes.
