| SCHOLARSHIP NEWS AND DEADLINES - Friday, April 18, 2008Scholarship info and deadlines!!!
Allen Canning: must have a gpa of 3.0 or above. Deadline is April 23rd.
LSU Alumni Association: must have a gpa of 3.0. Deadline is April 23rd.
Bunkie Lion's Club: must have a gpa of 3.0 or above. Deadline is April 25th.
Cottonport Service Club Scholarship and Supt. Jerome Preston Callegari Leadership Scholarship: must reside in old Cottonport High School district. Deadline is April 25th.
Paragon Casino: GPA of 3.0 and ACT of 19 required. Deadline to the counselor is April 25th.
Albert L. Hayward: GPA of 2.0. Deadline to apply is April 28th.
LA Pest Management Association Life Sciences Scholarship for seniors pursing an education in a life science curriculum. Minimum gps of 3.0 and ACT of 23. Deadline to be postmarked is April 30th.
Jesse L. Jackson Sr. Fellows Scholarship: gpa of 3.0 and above. Deadline is April 30th.

| Coca-Cola Scholars Semi-Finalist - Wednesday, April 02, 2008CONGRATS MALCOLM SMOOT - GATES MILLENIUM SEMIFINALIST!!
Malcolm has been selected as a semifinalist for this national scholarship. Malcolm now goes on to compete in the next phase of the competion. GOOD LUCK!!!

| Summer Employment Opportunity - Tuesday, January 29, 2008The Louisiana Lion's Camp is now accepting applications for summer staff positions including Junior counselor (must be 16), Senior counselor (must be 18), and certified Lifeguard positions. The camping season runs from June 10 - July 26th. Junior Counselor's receive $525 for the season and Senior Counselors receive $875 for the season. Graduating seniors may apply for one of 10 $500.00 scholarships which are awarded at the end of the camp. To request an application log on www.lionscamp.org or call 1-800-348-6567.
